Rest, Heal & Grow
Discover a transformative retreat designed to nurture the spirit and empower our nation's heroes through rest, healing, and education. That's our featured project called 'The Eagles Haven'.
It's on over thirty acres of land located some sixty miles north of Spokane, WA in the small town of Addy. It's surrounded by farms and ranches and wildlife. Yes we even have Bald Eagles living with us in the valley, along with Elk, Deer, Bear, and Turkeys. We even see an occasional Moose, or Cougar in the Area.
The 100-mile-long Lake Roosevelt reservoir is only about 10 miles West of our location. It provides great fishing for Trout and Walleye. The boating and camping experiences are awesome. Our first planned tasks for early May 2025 will hopefully be to begin constructing three monolith foundations for the Bunk Houses, provided by “Meadowlark Log Homes” of Libby Montana. These log cabins along with two tall wooden pole structures not close to, but nearby the Bunk Houses to provide eagle nesting platforms. Then our program residents can view protected havens for the majestic Bald eagles, raising, and caring for their young. and flying nearby. We view all of America’s Defenders as having hearts like an eagle. We just want our program to remind our residents who they once were! We do not need to remind those who serve or have served. One is dutybound to “Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.” Now we can’t do it all, but we can do our part.
